Welcome

My name is John and I’m a lot of things: a son, a father, a husband, the leaders of a small pack of dogs, a software engineer, a language learner, a little too into sports, and often lost in thought about the next place to which I’ll travel.

I live in Orlando, FL, with my family. I work on i18n at Airbnb (LinkedIn). I speak English and Mandarin Chinese, and am working on Spanish. I haven’t traveled as much as I’d like to, but I’m always keen to do more.

I’ll write here about technology and language and travel and probably at least a little bit about politics.
